The oldest scientific journal in the Philippines, the Philippine Journal of Science, published five of the nine DOST-FPRDI papers.

Over the last one-and-a half years, nine scientific papers written or co-written by DOST-FPRDI researchers have been featured in some of the world's most notable academic journals.

The said periodicals are all listed under Clarivate Analytics (formerly ISI or Institute for Scientific Information), a publishing service that accredits journals based on strict standards of quality and whose ratings are used worldwide as a measure of a publication’s prestige and impact.

An academic journal is published primarily to promote the progress of science by reporting new research. Every article in these journals undergoes a process called peer review, in which experts assess the quality of the research before recommending whether or not it should be accepted. When published, each paper expands the library of evidence-based literature available to all scientists and contributes to the overall knowledge base of science.

The DOST-FPRDI papers featured in the Clarivates Analytics-accredited journals included the following:

Effect of glueline treatment using tobacco stalk and leaf midrib additives on the strength of urea formaldehyde-bonded plywood by Juanito Jimenez Jr., Menandro Acda, Hidelisa Hernandez International Wood Products Journal 12 (4)
