Dr. Marina A. Alipon, Scientist I, delivers the paper “Assessing the Utilization of 4-8-year-old falcata (Paraserianthes falcataria (L.) Nielsen”, at the 69th Forest Products Society (FPS) International Convention at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Held last 10-12 June 2015, the 69th FPS International Convention was themed “Unlocking the Potential of Forest Products.”

The FPS is a global non-profit association founded in 1947 to provide an information network for all segments of the forest products industry. Its vision is to be the world leader in promoting the sustainable use of renewable cellulosic resources thru science and technology.

Society members come from a wide range of professional sectors including private and public research and development, industrial management and production, marketing, education, government, engineering and consulting.

Aside from putting together technical conferences, FPS also produces several journals including the peer-reviewed Forest Products Journal and publishes books on topics important to the forest products industry. (Rizalina K. Araral, 06 July 2015)#
