The DOST-Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) has recently been elected member of the Executive Committee of the Asia Pacific Association of Forestry Research Institutions (APAFRI) from 2021-2024.
The election happened during APAFRI’s 9th General Assembly on 7 December 2021 and attended virtually by 26 institutional members from 16 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
In a letter, the APAFRI Secretariat noted that with DOST-FPRDI’s “vast experience and knowledge”, the organization will “surely be able to achieve greater success.”

APAFRI is an independent non-profit group which seeks to upgrade research and technology development capabilities to help conserve and manage forest resources in the Asia-Pacific region.
