Ella and Samiano conduct field visit in Cambodia
For. Arsenio B. Ella and For. Florena B. Samiano (left photo – rightmost and leftmost, respectively), conducted a field visit in Modulkiri, Cambodia last 23-28 October 2013 in connection with the research study “Assessment of the Different Resin-Tapping Techniques for Dipterocarps: Towards a Sustainable Resin Industry in Cambodia”.
A joint project of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF)-Cambodia, the Non-Timber Forest Products - Exchange Program (NTFP-EP) and the FPRDI, the study aims to assess varied resin-tapping techniques for dipterocarp trees, and to conduct field trials in order to come up with sustainable harvesting methods fit for village-based commercial resin production.
