Around 70 FPRDI officials and staff participated in a seminar on values, office decorum and sexual harassment last 26 September 2014 at the Institute’s Conference Hall. Dr. Ma. Luisa S. Agamata, Director of the Civil Service Commission’s Public Assistance and Information Office, served as the Resource Person.

Dr. Agamata led the participants in an exercise where they listed the practices they wanted to start, stop and continue at FPRDI. She commended them for their candid suggestions, and asked them to think of doable steps so that the kind of improved FPRDI that they envision can later on become a reality.

She likewise exhorted everyone to feel very proud to be part of the Philippine Civil Service. “As long as each one of us does his or her job with enthusiasm and professionalism,” she said, “we can be considered heroes for our people, no matter our position in the workplace. One can be a professional driver, a professional clerk, a professional scientist. As long as we work with integrity, we help meet the mandate of our organization, and ultimately serve the interests of the country.”

The seminar was spearheaded by the Committee on Decorum and Investigation, and the Integrity Circle Committee. (Rizalina K. Araral, 29 September 2014)
