2024 NATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH CELEBRATION
The National Women's Month Celebration highlights women's accomplishments and ongoing and emerging gender related issues affecting women and everyone. This celebration is rooted from the recognition of the International Women's Day, March 8, by the United Nations as a day to celebrate women's contribution to all societies globally.
This year's theme "Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!" is grounded on transforming culture toward a more equal and inclusive future. This celebration is anchored in the Proclamation No. 224 s. 1988, Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988 and R.A. 6949 s. 1990.
In connection with this, the FPRDI GAD Focal Point System, through its GAD Technical Working Group, will spearhead the following NWMC activities:
