As mandated by RA 6949, declaring March 08 of every year as National Women’s Day and Proclamation No. 277, s. 1988, on the observance of the month of March as Women’s Role in History Month, DOS- FPRDI will celebrate Women’s Month with the theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.” To foster a society where all women have equal rights, power, and opportunities, the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) carries the sub-theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” This reinforces the core objective of RA 9710, or Magna Carta of Women – to empower women, promote gender equality, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.

In connection with this momentous event, the FPRDI GAD Focal Point System, through its GAD Technical Working Group, will spearhead the following NWMC activities:

Members of the DOST-FPRDI GFPS with resource person Karen Lagat-Mercado (in blue), member of the CALABARZON Gender and Development Resource Pool, and DOST-FPRDI management led by OIC Director Rico J. Cabangon (4th from left).
