Expect sweeter music from DOST-FPRDI with trained staff on musical instrument-making.

Twenty-five employees of DOST-Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) were trained on classical guitar-making by Maestro Adolfo Toyoda Timuat, an internationally renowned flamenco guitarist. Timuat has toured around many countries to teach instrument playing and making, and owns guitar shops in Cebu and in Spain.

Recognized by guitar masters of Spain as “guitarista de concierto, compositor, professor, y investigador”, Filipino-Japanese Maestro Adolfo Toyoda Timuat has hand-built more than 500 guitars.

The oldest scientific journal in the Philippines, the Philippine Journal of Science, published five of the nine DOST-FPRDI papers.
